Job summary

Vintners Distributors in Union City, CA is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead multi-entity accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will partner with the CFO to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvements across location-based operations.

The role requires extensive technical accounting expertise and strong leadership to develop staff, drive efficiencies, and support audits and system implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 842) and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting.
• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, trial balances, and financial statements for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, management reports, and KPIs.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, lease accounting, and related reconciliations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration with other departments to align finances with operations.
