Job summary

RiseMe in Durant, OK is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee a team of accountants, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable. You will report to the Accounting Director and ensure consistent application of policies and controls.

You will develop procedures, prepare financial statements and budgets, and coordinate monthly/quarterly/yearly reports for upper management. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and eight-plus years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of internal control procedures and management information systems.
• Ability to interpret and explain major business issues.
• Familiarity with budgeting, accounting, and reporting systems.
• Eight years of directly related accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that accounting systems are in place and followed by the department.
• Develop training documentation, procedures and programs to improve staff efficiency.
• Compile financial statements and reports.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets and forecasts for upper management.
• Coordinate staff audit schedules and establish timelines for project goals.
• Verify records of financial transactions with supporting documents.
• Coach, mentor and establish goals according to the development of professional staff.
• Verify compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements with outside agencies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
