Senior Accounting Manager- Hotel

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This pivotal role will support the Vice President of Finance in maintaining financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and upholding compliance with company policies andGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).If you are an experienced finance professional with a strong background inhotel accounting, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accuratemonthly financial statementsin compliance with GAAP.
  • Processpayroll journals, reconcile bank debits, and address variances.
  • Preparemonthly accrual journalsacross all properties.
  • Ensureincome journalsbalance with theGeneral Ledger and POS systems.
  • Conductbalance sheet reconciliationsand maintain compliance with accounting principles.
  • Overseeaccounts payable, ensuring timely reconciliation with vendor statements.
  • Generate and reviewdaily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring timely submission.
  • Assist inexternal auditsand maintain financial records.
  • Support thetraining and developmentof finance team members.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum5 years of hotel accounting/finance experience, including2 years in a managerial role.
  • Expertise inAccounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll, Credit, Audit, Inventory Control, and P&L preparation & analysis.
  • Proficiency inaccounting software(Oracle, Opera, or similar) andMicrosoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge ofstate and local sales & occupancy tax requirements.
  • Excellentcommunication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, office-basedrole with occasionalhotel walk-throughs.
  • Employees must adhere to allcompany procedures and policies.
