Job Title:

Complex Senior Human Resources Manager
Location: EnVue Autograph Collection Hotel & Residence Inn by Marriott – Weehawken, NJ

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Complex Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and support HR operations for our dual-branded hotels in Weehawken, NJ. This role will be instrumental in shaping a high-performance, people-first culture that aligns with the values of both the Autograph Collection and Residence Inn brands. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in union and non-union environments, and demonstrate strategic HR leadership across multiple properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Leadership

  • Serve as the senior HR point of contact for both properties.

  • Partner with General Managers and Executive Leadership to align HR strategy with overall hotel goals.

  • Lead, coach, and develop HR and department managers on employee relations, labor law compliance, and leadership best practices.

Labor Relations & Compliance

  • Act as liaison with labor union(s); manage grievances, contract interpretation, and union negotiations.

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (including NJ-specific regulations).

  • Handle investigations and resolution of employee complaints and concerns.

Talent Management & Development

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding for both hotels.

  • Drive succession planning and career development initiatives across departments.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to elevate service standards and team performance.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Champion associate engagement initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

  • Lead hotel recognition programs and implement action plans from associate satisfaction surveys.

HR Operations

  • Manage benefits administration, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and leave policies.

  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping, file audits, and compliance with Marriott/brand standards.

  • Collaborate with corporate HR on payroll, HRIS updates, and performance review cycles.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s or HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a hotel or hospitality leadership role.

  • Experience with union environments is required.

  • Ability to manage and support multiple hotel brands or locations simultaneously.

  • Deep understanding of NJ labor laws and regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, Oracle).
