Food Forward Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage core accounting functions within a nonprofit environment. You will lead A/P/A/R workflows, prepare monthly reports, and support cash flow analyses while upholding internal controls.

A bachelor's degree and 5+ years of financial reporting experience are required; government grant experience is a plus. The role collaborates with HR and Operations to ensure accurate, timely financial information and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of financial reporting experience at a mid-sized or larger organization.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Government grant experience is a plus.
• Able to support both English- and Spanish-speaking staff.
• High personal standards for accuracy and deadlines, and ability to correct errors.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows.
• Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports and analyze monthly financial statements.
• Prepare cash flow analyses as needed.
• Maintain document management system for accounting transactions.
• Assist Controller with audits and 990 filings and update process guides.
• Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations for entities.
• Work with HR and Operations to manage the organization’s insurance policies.
