Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or related field required.
• Minimum eight years of related work experience; Big 4 or equivalent public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with rate filings (base rate, fuel, rider, deferral) and regulated utility accounting.
• Proficiency with PeopleSoft and OneStream; familiarity with FERC reporting and COA.
• CPA license is required; strong SOX controls knowledge and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team performing accounting close and financial reporting tasks.
• Ensure activities are recorded to the general ledger and supported by proper controls.
• Explain and present accounting impacts and variances to budget and prior-year results.
• Coordinate with offshore accounting personnel and the E&Y partnership.
• Lead or participate in regulatory filings and annual audited financial statements.
• Review month-end deliverables, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal reports.
• Drive process improvement and ensure SOX controls are established and monitored.
