Job summary

Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs seeks an experienced accounting leader to ensure funds, records, and transactions comply with applicable standards and procedures. The role participates in the annual independent auditor reports and CAFR, while guiding staff in implementing accounting functions and closing the books after audits.

The ideal candidate will monitor financial metrics, reconcile GL accounts, and oversee payroll, timesheets, requisitions, and related IT systems.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Two years of experience supervising accounting staff.
• Must pass criminal background screening.
• Must pass pre-employment alcohol/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain funds, records, and transactions per standards and procedures.
• Participate in the production of annual auditor reports and CAFR.
• Manage and direct staff in development and implementation of accounting functions.
• Monitor financial metrics and reconcile all general ledger accounts to the audited financial statement.
• Close books after annual audit and oversee payroll, timesheets, requisitions, and related IT systems.
