Seacoast Bank is seeking a senior accounting leader to coordinate daily accounting activities and ensure timely month-end closes. You will oversee GAAP application, accounts payable, and auditor interactions while driving financial analyses and process improvements.

The role requires a CPA, 10+ years in banking or large corporate accounting, and strong communication to partner with leadership on complex transactions and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Licensed CPA a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in public accounting or accounting within a large public corporation.
• Previous banking/financial services experience with strong knowledge of banking products and accounting issues.
• Mastery of GAAP accounting concepts and current accounting and financial reporting practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates sound professional judgment using analytical and problem solving skills.
• Process improvement oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and oversee daily accounting activities including general ledger operations, balancing and reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP is applied correctly in transactions and month‑end close is timely.
• Oversee accounts payable function and liaison with auditors/regulators.
• Provide analyses of monthly variances and net interest margin; report results vs. forecasts.
• Advise on complex accounting issues, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Analyze contracts to determine accounting treatment and coordinate recording and reporting.
• Lead data management and ensure data quality for financial reporting.
• Drive internal controls, policy documentation and process improvements.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team to align with business needs.
