Job summary

Seacoast Bank is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger reconciliations, and the month-end close process. This role serves as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors and regulators.

The ideal candidate will drive data quality, strengthen internal controls, and mentor a high-performing accounting team while supporting strategic initiatives within a financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Licensed CPA a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in public accounting (audit background within financial services) or accounting within a large public corporation.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily accounting activities including general ledger operations and reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end close and ensure timely completion.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Monitor accounts payable and financial controls; strengthen internal controls.
• Lead data management, financial system quality and process improvements.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team; drive talent growth.
