Job summary

Buckhead Meat Midwest, Inc.-Ohio Division in Ohio is seeking a Manager, Accounting to assist the controller RCFO Region CFO in securing financial operations, managing the accounting department, and aligning a fiscal strategy with the company’s goals.

You will supervise AP/AR/Accounting Associates, prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, enter journal entries, oversee the close of multiple books, and support forecasts and budgets while driving cost controls and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5 years of accounts payable experience required, preferably with 1+ year leading others.
• Strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with financial reporting software; ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs work of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Accounting Associates.
• Prepare Sysco weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Enter monthly journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manage business license renewals as necessary.
• Oversee the close of multiple sets of books and records.
• Ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations and reporting.
• Support weekly reporting and forecast processes; assist with annual budgets.
• Identify opportunities to control costs and reduce expenses.
• Prepare and file local tax returns; participate in shrink committee.
