Job summary

CFS in Macedonia, OH is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes. This hands-on leadership role manages the general ledger, month-end close, financial statements, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibility, and deep GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Experience with AP, AR, payroll, and fixed asset accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures while ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and other financial analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and financial controls.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members.

Position Overview (Accounting Manager)

The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient accounting processes.
