Job summary

Upchurch Industrial LLC in the Memphis area seeks an Accounting Manager to lead corporate accounting, oversee month-end close, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and internal controls. This role partners with Corporate Finance, operations, and executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will drive process improvements, oversee accounts payable/receivable, and guide a team through multi-entity accounting workflows, leveraging Sage Intacct and BuildOps to enhance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility in corporate accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, or public accounting.
• Experience leading accounting functions and personnel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, allocations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close processes and ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the monthly and year-end close process for corporate accounting functions.
• Review journal entries, accruals, reclasses, allocations, and other accounting adjustments.
• Ensure reconciliations and schedules are complete, accurate, and timely.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and multi-entity activities.
• Drive process improvements across accounting operations and shared services.
• Provide leadership and development for accounting staff.
• Partner with Corporate Finance, operations, and leadership to enhance financial reporting and system functionality.
