Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the record-to-report function and partner with accounting leadership on financial reporting, audit readiness, and process improvements. This remote role offers the opportunity to strengthen close procedures, develop a high-performing team, and scale accounting operations in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 7+ years of experience, and strong U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading close, reconciliations, audits, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Manage and develop accounting team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance oversight.
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, procedures, and audit readiness across the organization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
