Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fully remote role based in Arizona (Phoenix area). The position pays a base salary of $105,000–$115,000, depending on experience, with responsibilities including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and audits. Strong knowledge of U.S.

GAAP and ERP systems (NetSuite) is preferred, along with CPA progression. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities include

• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process through preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

• Maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple balance sheet and income statement accounts while ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including AP, payroll, inventory, and operations, to gather information, resolve issues, and support accounting initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain audit‑ready documentation, workpapers, and financial support for internal and external audit requests.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support a scalable accounting function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required)
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month‑end close processes (Required)
• Public company experience (Preferred)
