  • Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for local management and headquarters.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Nitto Group Accounting Rules, applicable statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies.

  • Establish service‑level expectations, operating cadence, and performance reporting to enable predictable execution.
Technical Accounting, Tax, and Treasury Leadership
  • Provide hands‑on technical accounting support, including complex journal entries, accounting judgments, technical memoranda, and issue resolution.
  • Support cost accounting structures and manufacturing‑related accounting complexities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variances, and related controls.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors and internal teams on income tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing support, and local statutory compliance.
  • Support treasury operations including cash forecasting, intercompany funding, dividend planning, and cash pooling initiatives.
Process Improvement & Internal Controls
  • Address recurring accounting issues through root‑cause analysis and sustainable process redesign.
  • Strengthen internal controls and governance, including controls aligned with Japan Sarbanes‑Oxley (J-SOX) requirements where applicable.
  • Drive automation, efficiency improvements, and scalability with limited headcount through standardized routines, workflow discipline, and system‑enabled controls.
  • Build repeatable SOPs, checklists, and evidence standards to improve audit readiness and reduce recurring execution risk.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Act as a trusted partner to business leaders, controllers, and operational stakeholders across the Americas, as well as headquarters.
  • Communicate clearly and credibly with diverse stakeholders, including non‑finance leaders.
  • Prepare materials and support discussions for Area Finance Meetings and management updates.
  • Navigate sensitive operational and organizational matters with professionalism and discretion.
