Job summary

Hydranautics, part of the Nitto Group, seeks a dedicated Financial Analyst to prepare forecasts and monthly budgets. You will analyze actual vs. budget, support lease accounting, impairment tests, fixed assets, and cost accounting.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, reporting, and assisting with internal controls and audits. Manufacturing and pharma exposure is a plus; 5+ years in finance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5+ years related experience; 3+ years in manufacturing.
• ERP experience and ERP platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly financial analytical report of actual vs. budget and budget forecasts.
• Manages variance analysis with responsible budget parties.
• Prepares financial forecasts (Operating Income, Cash Flow) and budget data.
• Completes regular/ad-hoc reports and filings; verifies report accuracy.
• Assists monthly closing with journal entries in Lease Accounting, Amortization, Fixed Assets, Inventory and Cost Accounting.
• Collaborates with internal teams and external customers; addresses questions/discrepancies.
• Supports internal/external audits and liaises with corporate HQ.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under senior leadership, prepare financial forecast and monthly budget reports; analyze financial actual results against the budget to revise forecast for budgetary control, including payroll analysis and Fixed Cost analysis for budget control. Collaborate with the General Accounting Team in Lease Accounting, Impairment Test, Fixed Asset management, Inventory Valuation (Lower Cost or Net Realizable Value) and Cost Accounting (Standard Costing Allocation update). Participate and contribute to the Internal Control administration (NIMS, J-SOX, Salesforce), as well as Contract Management across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIE S and/or RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepares monthly financial analy tical report of actual vs. budget as well as with the preparation of financial budget and financial forecasts . Itemizes data and statistical information , including budget reconciliations.

Meets with responsible parties in charge of budget to manage actual vs. budget variance analysis.

Prepares financial forecast (Operating Income forecast, Cash Flow forecast, etc.) and facilitates budget data compilation (annual and Shimo budget).

Prepares and completes a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports and required filings. Verifies the accuracy of reports through review and analysis.

Contributes General Accounting Team in monthly closing by preparing analysis and journal entries in specific technical items, such as Lease Accounting, Impairment Test, Fixed Assets management, Inventory Valuation and Cost Accounting.

Delivers financial analysis collaborating with various areas of the company. Communicates successfully with both internal and external customers, follow-up and follow-through on questions and discrepancies.

Responds to inquiries, identifies issues, and develops solutions to complex and diverse challenges concerning a variety financial data, some of which contain confidential and sensitive information, which require tact and discretion in handling.

Composes, queries, and analyzes large volumes of financial data using integrated financial systems and other records management tools, including contributing to the cost accounting function within the department.

Liaise with Nitto Corporate Headquarters on internal audits (NIMS Audits) providing information as necessary.

Contributes and participates in external audits such KPMG.

Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES :

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field; and, five (5) years’ directly related experience with three (3) years’ directly related manufacturing experience, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Manufacturing and pharmaceutical industry experience, a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis a must, within a manufacturing environment, a plus.

Robust application of critical thinking skills along with problem solving and creative skills to draft reports and materials to summarize, analyze, and justify budget programs.

Strong multi-tasking skills, flexibility in responding to rapidly changing, dynamic processes and demands/pressures in a fast-paced environment.

Strong ability to verbally communicate across functional organizational groups, provide high-level customer service through effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution, including communicating with equipment suppliers to obtain input on equipment modification and improvement.

Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite software applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, and other enterprise software applications such as Net Suite, etc.

Advanced language skills with the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

Write clear processes, manuals and reports for management review and present technical information in understandable terms and respond to questions from groups of customers, employees and/or public.

Work with mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Work independently as well as in a small and/or large group and foster cooperation in a team environment using interpersonal skills to transfer working knowledge and delegate assignments with other team members.

Work in a detail-oriented environment with strong follow-through and organizational skills.

Salary $90,000
