Job summary

Consertus-US in Miami seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to shape the accounting function, improve efficiency, and mentor staff while delivering accurate financial results across multiple entities.

You will own month-end close, FAR overhead rate development, AP, vendor management, and T&E controls, driving automation in Deltek Vantagepoint or comparable systems, and supporting M&A integrations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• FAR overhead/indirect cost rate experience incl FAR Part 31 analysis.
• Ownership of full-cycle AP, vendor management, and card/T&E functions.
• Experience designing scalable process improvements.
• Strong internal-control judgment in fast-changing environments.
• ERP proficiency, advanced Excel, familiarity with AP automation tooling.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounts payable across entities and manage 1099 process.
• Govern vendor master data, onboarding controls, and vendor disputes handling.

• Drive process improvements and automation within the ERP (Deltek Vantagepoint or comparable).
• Integrate acquired entities into AP, vendor, and card functions; support balance sheet openings.

About the Role

Senior Accounting Manager – This position is a builder’s role at the core of our accounting team. The right candidate will shape processes and workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and the accuracy of financial results while mentoring staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Close, Reporting & Leadership
  Ensure accurate and timely month‑end close for all owned areas, support external audit and lender reporting, and lead, mentor, and develop a distributed accounting team.
• FAR & Indirect Cost Rates
  Develop, support, and maintain FAR‑compliant indirect cost (overhead) rate schedules; prepare annual incurrence submissions and coordinate with external auditors and cognizant agencies.
• Accounts Payable
  Own the end‑to‑end payables process across all entities, establish AP policies, manage payment timing, and oversee the 1099 process.
• Vendor Management
  Govern vendor master data, enforce onboarding controls, and serve as escalation point for vendor disputes, aging, and reconciliation issues.
• Corporate Card & T&E
  Administer the corporate credit card program and T&E policy, drive compliance, and remediate control gaps.
• Process Improvement & Systems
  Assess current accounting processes, design scalable solutions, and drive automation within the ERP (Deltek Vantagepoint or comparable).
• M&A Integration
  Integrate acquired entities into AP, vendor, and card functions, and support purchase accounting and opening‑balance‑sheet work.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership, preferably in the AEC or professional services industry.
• Demonstrated FAR overhead/indirect cost rate experience, including FAR Part 31 allowability analysis and audit support.
• Proven ownership of the full‑cycle accounts payable, vendor management, and corporate card/T&E functions.
• Track record of designing and implementing scalable process improvements.
• Excellent internal‑control judgment and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, high‑change environment.
• Strong ERP proficiency, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with AP automation tooling and expense‑management platforms.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (CPA or equivalent preferred).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
