Base Pay Range

$165,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Job Overview – Senior Accounting Manager

Compensation: $165,000 – $180,000/year base ($175,000 – $225,000 All-In)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

We have partnered with a leading investment management firm in Boston to help build out their US finance organization. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead the build out and work with your own team while supporting existing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Head of Finance and Chief Operating Officer to help build US finance presence
• Responsible for leading audits with an external Big 4 audit firm
• Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP accounting policies
• Responsible for the month‑end close process for US legal entities
• Maintain accurate accounting data in the firm’s financial systems
• Enhance financial policies and procedures to strengthen control environments
• Collaborate with Tax Manager to assist in the preparation of relevant US federal and local tax filings
• Work with third party administrators to ensure all financials are correct
• Manage finance system improvements and digital transformation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA and/or master’s degree in accounting
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Minimum of 4 years in the Big 4
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Expertise in GAAP accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Must have worked in financial services
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in collaborative groups
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
