Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

A growing private credit investment firm in New York is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This role will be central to the firm’s fund accounting and reporting operations, with additional involvement in valuations, FP&A, and fundraising initiatives. The position offers broad exposure, a high degree of ownership, and direct interaction with senior leadership within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the fund accounting process, including preparation and review of capital calls, distributions, management fees, and investor reporting
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Partner with investment and operations teams on quarterly valuations and portfolio performance analytics
  • Coordinate with external auditors, administrators, and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities at both the fund and management company levels
  • Support fundraising efforts by providing financial data, performance analyses, and materials for investor due diligence
  • Enhance internal controls, streamline reporting processes, and support the implementation of best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience, ideally in private credit, private equity, or public accounting with fund clients
  • Strong technical understanding of fund structures, partnership accounting, and valuation principles
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-directed, and able to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with fund accounting systems preferred
