Job summary

Summary: The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This role involves leading core accounting tasks, M&A accounting, contributing to financial reporting, performing reconciliations and analysis, and preparing detailed financial statements to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Serve as the finance lead for business combinations and integrations, including preparing and finalizing opening balance sheet positions and purchase price adjustments.
• Lead technical accounting matters and manage earnout schedules for business acquisition-related payouts.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and preparation of adjusting journal entries.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during annual audits and regulatory examinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, including supervisory responsibilities.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred.
• Experience with M&A accounting.
