Job summary

The Equus Group is seeking a Senior Associate in Beloit, WI to join the Accounting & Finance team. You will support accounting functions, analyze data, and provide strategic insights to drive business decisions.

You will work with the CFO and cross-functional teams on planning, analysis, and financial strategies. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting/audit/financial analysis within financial services, and a strong GAAP, regulatory, and Excel skill set.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
3+ years of experience in accounting, audit, financial analysis, or related roles within the financial services industry.
Prior work experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze accounting reports, statements, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring GAAP compliance.
Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate investments, projects, and initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in development and monitoring of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
Support external audits and regulatory reporting with accurate information.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
Mentor and train junior team members to foster professional development.
