Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an Accounting Manager for a stable manufacturing organization. The role leads a team handling general ledger, financial reporting, fixed assets, and compliance while partnering with business leaders to drive operational excellence.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule and a compensation range of $125,000–$130,000 plus bonus, reflecting 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting and general ledger accounting.
• 2+ years of experience leading or developing accounting staff.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, fixed assets, and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, audits, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals across general ledger, financial reporting, fixed assets, and compliance functions.
• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review general ledger activity and ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Partner with operational and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Coordinate year-end audits and work closely with external auditors.
• Manage compliance-related reporting, filings, licenses, and tax-related requirements.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Support internal audit activities and ensure adherence to control standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Assist with special projects, ad hoc reporting, and strategic finance initiatives.
