Job summary

Consejo Counseling and Referral Service is seeking a Controller to oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This role provides strategic financial leadership and partners with executive leadership to support organizational goals.

The Controller manages the accounting team and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, building a high-performing finance function across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
• 10-15+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
• Provide analysis and recommendations for growth.
• Partner with executives on long-term financial strategy.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP statements and audits.
• Build internal control systems and manage audits.
• Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy and scalability.
