Job summary

All Chicago MHH is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant / Interim Senior Accountant to provide hands-on accounting, reconciliations, grants accounting, and process improvement support to the Finance team in Chicago.

The role focuses on balance sheet reconciliations, accounts receivable, grant matching, and HUD vouchering, with a hybrid in-office schedule. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Significant progressive accounting experience in senior-level roles with GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Experience managing accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
• Experience with government-funded grants and reimbursement programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Research and resolve reconciling items and aged balances.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and assist with month-end close.
• Improve reconciliation processes, templates, and documentation.
• Manage payment reissuance, tracking, and controls.
