Job summary

CLA is seeking an Accounting Consultant – Engagement Director in the West Hartford area to serve as a high-level interim or project-based accounting resource across multiple industries. You will design and improve monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting, and system implementations, while actively engaging in client engagements and offering travel opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in accounting or related field; CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8 years relevant work experience including public accounting (10+ years preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field required; CPA preferred.
• Mastery in Excel and experience with a variety of accounting software.
• Previous roles as CFO/Controller/SEC Reporting or Internal Audit Manager preferred; strong client service management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a high-level interim or project-based accounting resource for clients in various industries on accounting, finance, tax, and audit roles.
• Design/improve accounting processes such as monthly close, management and financial reporting, forecasting, consolidations, and system implementations.
• Take an active and hands-on approach in executing client engagements.
