Dallas County is seeking a Senior Accountant to perform a variety of complex accounting tasks, including processing and auditing transactions, resolving issues, and generating reports.

The role requires independent work and may involve leading a team and training accounting staff, reviewing payroll and related transactions, and reconciling data with the general ledger across departments.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years related work experience or 45 college hours in related field.
• Strong organization and data reconciliation skills.

Mansioni

• Processes various employee changes in automated systems, including review of pay, benefits and requisitions.
• Prepares and balances payroll and financial transactions for submission to Commissioners Court.
• Review purchases to identify items meeting capitalization threshold and CIP projects for addition to fixed asset system.
• Answers inquiries and resolves issues related to the functional area and notifies appropriate departments of discrepancies and actions necessary for correction.
• Verifies bids for compliance with specifications, laws and policies, payroll deductions, entry to final payroll and authorized signatures.
• Maintains control databases requests and reconciles data to general ledger.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
