Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to join the Outsourced Accounting team and lead the monthly close for government contracting clients. You will train Staff Accountants, review complex tasks, and ensure high-quality service, working closely with the engagement manager.

This full-time role emphasizes a highly flexible remote model utilizing MS Teams, with opportunities for growth within a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm.

Qualifications

• 4 Year Accounting degree required.
• 2-4 Years experience in Accounting.
• Experience with CostPoint is required.
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or Unanet preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process for a set of Government Contracting clients.
• Train and oversee Staff Accountants while coordinating with the engagement manager.
• Provide accurate GAAP-based financial statements and analytical workpapers.
• Manage client invoicing and billing requirements for federal contractors.
• Collaborate with tax and audit teams to ensure GAAP and tax accuracy.
