Job summary

WithCoverage is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to own the accounting function and to design the core insurance accounting system. The role is hands-on and strategic, growing into leadership as we scale.

Qualifications

• CPA with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including Big 4 and in-house high-growth environment.
• Strong command of US GAAP and ASC 606 in a multi-stream revenue context.
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar GL and building around a system.

Responsibilities

• Own fiduciary and premium trust accounting, reconcile client funds to bank and policy level.
• Design and operate carrier reconciliation, clear unapplied payments backlog.
• Establish fiduciary liability accounting for premiums and return premiums payable.
• Build commission revenue recognition under ASC 606 and defend numbers.
• Own monthly close and GAAP financial statements, transition to accrual basis.
• Oversee policy, blog, and audit readiness; manage external preparers and filing.
