Job summary

Lutz is seeking a Senior Accountant in Omaha to own day-to-day accounting and bring more structure to the finance function. The role focuses on general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close, with opportunities to improve processes and documentation.

You will work closely with the Controller, develop SOPs, and contribute to financial reporting and special projects in a stable, heads-down environment.

• Solid, well-rounded accounting experience at the Senior Accountant level.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership without requiring significant direction.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who can step into an established organization, take ownership of the day-to-day accounting work, and help bring additional structure and consistency to the finance function.

This is an ideal role for someone who is steady, dependable, self-directed, and comfortable working with limited oversight. Beyond handling the accounting fundamentals, you'll have the opportunity to identify gaps, improve processes, and help develop documentation and SOPs that make the department stronger long term.

What You'll Do
