Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant in the United States (Connecticut) to join a fast-growing precision laser tech company. The role offers a path to step up to Assistant Controller and reports to the finance leadership.

You will own month-end close, GL activities, GAAP compliance, and financial statement preparation, while partnering with business leaders on budgeting and process improvements. A strong Excel and ERP background is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience in manufacturing or related industry.
• Ability to independently perform reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, manage GL activities, and lead month-end/year-end close processes.
• Perform reconciliations, ensure GAAP compliance, support audits, and oversee tax filings.
• Analyze financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, strengthen internal controls, and mentor junior staff.
• Partner with business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.
• Additional duties as assigned.
