Beacon Hill is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to provide temporary support for a mission-driven nonprofit in Southern California. You will assist with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, MS Dynamics) and advanced Excel is expected for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and journal entries.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Assist with grant accounting and restricted fund tracking.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational accounting policies.
• Partner with program and finance teams to support reporting needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
