Job summary

CFS in Melville, NJ is seeking a Senior Accountant – Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting. This high-visibility role deepens SEC reporting experience, supports policy development, and drives modernization of financial reporting using AI-enabled tools.

You will research complex technical accounting matters, prepare position papers, support Form 10-Q and 10-K disclosures, and ensure US GAAP and SOX compliance across close cycles in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting, finance, or public accounting experience.
• 3+ years of SEC reporting experience, including quarterly and annual filings.
• 3+ years of experience interpreting and applying complex accounting standards.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex technical accounting matters and prepare accounting position papers.
• Support SEC reporting activities, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K disclosures and related documentation.
• Interpret and implement new accounting standards while assessing operational and financial impacts.
• Prepare accounting entries and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements.
