Job description

I’m currently partnering with a well-established P&C insurance organization seeking a Senior Accountant with strong SEC reporting experience. This role will be based hybrid (2 days in) from Short Hills, NJ.

This role sits within a high-performing finance team and will play a key part in quarterly and annual reporting, financial close, and technical accounting analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K)
• Monthly close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Analytical review of financial statements during close
• Balance sheet oversight and complex account analysis
• Support of external audit and budgeting processes
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP, SAP, and regulatory requirements

Profile

• 5+ years of financial accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (SAP exposure a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred (required for long-term progression)
