Job summary

Quisitive is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role owns complex accounting research, supports external financial reporting, and serves as a key contact for reporting to our private equity sponsor and institutional investors.

You will work with the Controller, FP&A, and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting as the company scales, including support for annual audits and quarterly disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is required.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and a technical accounting role in industry.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805.
• Experience preparing or supporting external financial statements and audit deliverables.
• Excellent written communication, ability to draft technical memos.
• Strong Excel skills; ERP systems experience (Dynamics BC) preferred.
• Experience in a PE-backed environment or reporting for private equity/institutional investors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and document the accounting treatment for complex transactions under US GAAP (revenue recognition, leases, debt/equity instruments, business combinations, impairment, stock-based compensation).
• Draft technical accounting memos and position papers; present conclusions to management and external auditors.
• Prepare and review external financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures; support audits.
• Own or support monthly/quarterly reporting packages for sponsor/investors, including KPIs and covenant schedules.
• Collaborate with FP&A and deal/portfolio teams to respond to investor data requests and board reporting needs.
• Monitor ASU/ASC updates and assess their impact on financial statements.
• Assist with M&A technical accounting, including purchase accounting and integration.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and process documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Tax, and Treasury on transactions with accounting implications.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements in close and reporting.
