Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Senior Accountant to advance within an accounting leadership path. The role requires 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong general ledger skills and excellent leadership and communication abilities.

The successful candidate will review financials, lead client meetings, and contribute to a growing team of expert accountants while learning advanced property management accounting principles.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process general ledger journal entries to ensure a successful client financial statement close.
• Review financial statements and liaise with Clients and property managers accounts.
• Interact with AR, AP and Banking departments to ensure variances are analyzed and corrected.
• Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts monthly.
• Adhere to close checklist for timely and accurate client reporting.
• Perform year-end duties and assist with budget processes.
• Support Regional Controllers with board calls, budgets and reviews.
