The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) seeks an Accountant Supervisor II within the Water Infrastructure Financing Administration (WIFA) in Baltimore to lead advanced accounting for CWSRF, DWSRF, and BRF programs.

You will manage cost and bond accounting, prepare financial statements, and provide technical guidance to management, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate reporting. This role interfaces with state systems and supervises accounting staff.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3 credit hours in auditing.
• Five years of accounting experience applying GAAP in government/funding contexts.
• Experience in cost, systems, federal fund, or bond/loan accounting.
• Subs: CPA or Master's can substitute for up to one year of general experience.

Mansioni

• Independently perform advanced cost, enterprise fund, bond, and loan accounting.
• Prepare schedules and financial statements for CWSRF/BRF; maintain GL and review disbursements.
• Manage bond issuance, linked deposit activity, and reporting using SAGE.
• Advise WIFA management on complex financial matters involving CWSRF, DWSRF, and BRF.
