Job summary

Karman Industries, founded in 2024 and headquartered in Signal Hill, California, is seeking a Senior Accountant to own AP/AR and month-end close, while supporting project accounting and system transitions. This on-site role offers a path to build scalable accounting infrastructure as the company scales from prototype to volume production.

The candidate will review reconciliations, manage accruals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review month-end reconciliations and accrual entries prepared by outsourced accounting team, ensuring completeness and timeliness.
• Review and approve credit card transaction categorizations prior to posting in QuickBooks.
• Support project accounting, including cost tracking and budget-to-actual reporting on active projects.
• Own the accounts payable process, including three-way match and payment.
• Own the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, and collections.
• Support one-off accounting projects tied to new system implementations and process transitions.
• Partner with the broader team to strengthen close processes, internal controls, and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and other teams to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Support internal and external audit requests with documentation and analysis.
