Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist in Grand Rapids, MI on a temp-to-hire basis. The role focuses on maintaining the general ledger, performing journal entries, and managing month-end close, with strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support audits, and drive improvements in financial processes and reporting efficiency. Compensation is $40.00-$55.00 per hour, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience with SAP ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and recurring/nonrecurring journal entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and audits.
• Identify process improvements across accounting and ERP systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting.
