Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in the Washington, DC area. This role focuses on the monthly close, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations, requiring hands-on Sage Intacct expertise.

Responsibilities include preparing statements, reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, fixed assets, inventory, and supporting audits, with GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills critical to success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of the general ledger.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related entries.
• Handle inventory accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Assist with audits and provide schedules and support.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with operations and finance leadership for reporting and analysis.
