Job summary

CherryBekaert Recruiting seeks a detail oriented Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in SageIntacct and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

This role works 5 days in office Silver Spring, MD. The team values collaboration across departments and timely, accurate financials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with SageIntacct preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Support annual audit requests and other financial projects.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
