In the Controllership Finance team at Medtronic, we focus on supporting the business in a compliant and ethical manner. In this exciting position, you will report to the Cluster Finance Controller and will be responsible for management and statutory requirements for the Medtronic Romania entity. This role is based in Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned:

1. Apply USGAAP and Medtronic principles to analyze financial information and prepare internal and external financial reports.
2. Manage the entity’s management books and fiscal period-end closings in accordance with accounting policies.
3. Actively manage balance sheet monthly/quarterly reconciliations and adjustments if needed.
4. Collaborate with global finance operations on day-to-day activities and projects.
5. Manage communication with external consultants, governmental institutions (tax authority, customs, etc.), and banks.
6. Handle statutory reporting including reports to the National Bank, statistical reports, environmental reports, statutory financial statements, USGAAP to statutory reconciliations, corporate tax returns, and transfer pricing requirements. Perform quarterly profitability calculations.
7. Manage the external statutory audit process.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or accounting.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
3. Proficiency in SAP.
4. Experience working in multinational companies.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and facilitation skills in an international environment.
7. Fluent in English (verbal and written).
