Sungrow North America is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team in Costa Mesa, CA. This role focuses on contract-based accounting, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and accurate invoicing and reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with SAP ERP and Excel. This hybrid role supports collaboration across Project Management, Operations, and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, energy, or contract/project-based accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Experience preparing reconciliations, analyzing variances, and resolving discrepancies.
• Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to present financial data to management.

Responsabilités

• Perform project reconciliations to validate billing accuracy, revenue reporting, and ASC 606 compliance.
• Review contracts and purchase orders to identify performance obligations and milestones.
• Ensure accurate cash postings to customers and invoices.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, and Finance to monitor financial performance and collections.
• Assist month-end close by ensuring invoicing, revenue and GL transactions are reconciled.
• Support audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Contribute to special projects and financial analyses as needed.
