Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables in Madison, WI is seeking a Senior Accountant to bring clarity, accuracy, and insight to the financial side of our growth. You’ll own day-to-day accounting and partner with the Accounting Manager across projects and entities.

This role covers asset purchases, depreciation for solar assets, revenue and intercompany accounting, equity, leases, and monthly close. A proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-moving environments will fit well.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 5+ years total accounting experience (or 2 years in public accounting with additional industry experience).
• Experience in financial services industry with exposure to complex entity structures and investment relationships.
• Understanding of GAAP and management accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own critical day-to-day accounting and monthly close processes.
• Account for asset purchases and related depreciation for solar assets.
• Manage revenue accounting for energy generation and PPAs.
• Handle partnership expense accruals and equity accounting.
• Record leases under ASC 842 and support intercompany accounting.
