Burke Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a small portfolio of clients in a Vancouver-based, remote-friendly setup. The role emphasizes accurate financial reporting, mentoring junior staff, and strengthening internal processes.

Ideal candidates will have a CPA designation, strong Excel skills, and experience with Canadian accounting standards. Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software and payroll compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Solid experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end processes
• Comfort with payroll platforms and compliance requirements
• Strong Excel abilities including analysis and data organization
• Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards; cross-border exposure is helpful
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software
• Interest in improving processes and working efficiently

Responsabilités

• Managing month-end close and preparing reliable financial statements
• Maintaining working papers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Coordinating payroll and compliance requirements for assigned clients
• Handling day-to-day accounting including journal entries, AR/AP, and related tasks
• Providing guidance to junior staff to support their development and ensure consistent quality
• Bring an solutions orientated mindset, constantly identifying opportunities to build efficiencies, improve processes and automate.
