7Seventy Recruiting seeks a Senior Accountant to lead core accounting activities, including general ledger, month-end and close, financial reporting, and payroll oversight in a fully remote role within the United States.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Collaboration with finance leadership and cross-functional teams is essential for accurate financial information and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead general ledger accounting and timely monthly/year-end close.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for decision-making.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for the general ledger.
• Support project and contract accounting and reporting.
• Review and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Apply revenue recognition principles and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support annual financial statement audits with documentation and schedules.
• Strengthen internal controls and fraud-prevention practices.
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues independently.
• Improve, automate, and streamline accounting systems and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with project managers and non-financial staff to communicate financial information clearly.
