Job summary

Upserve, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to own core accounting operations, support monthly close, and strengthen reconciliations, building a scalable foundation in a fast-moving private equity-backed environment.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, ERP experience, and clear communication with finance and business leaders. You will work cross-functionally with teams to improve processes and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience including month-end close.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot, lookups, formulas).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Sage Intacct).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-accounting stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial statements and variance analyses.
• Perform reconciliations across balance sheet and cash.
• Support internal controls and audit requests.
• Identify process improvements for the close cadence.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, HR, and vendors.
• Coach junior staff and uphold standards.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting and ad hoc projects.
