Job summary

HCSC is seeking a detail‑oriented accounting professional to balance EFT/Claims/Checks/Refunds for Commercial and Government lines. You will review daily offshore balancing processes, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and analyze complex variances with partner areas.

In this role you will support reinsurance activity with the actuarial team, produce YTD statements for subsidiaries, and assist audits.

Qualifications

• Degree in business and 2 years accounting experience, or 6 years accounting experience.
• CPA/MBA or working towards CPA/MBA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Balance EFT/Claims/Checks/Refunds for Commercial and Government lines.
• Perform journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Research & troubleshoot complex questions and issues.
• Report reinsurance activity and prepare YTD financial statements for subsidiaries.
• Initiate wire transfers for internal and external entities.
• Coordinate with actuarial for reinsurance entries and adjustments.
• Assist internal and external audits (MAR, EY) and respond to inquiries.
• Support automation projects from an accounting perspective.
