Health Care Service Corporation seeks an experienced accounting professional to balance EFTs, claims, checks, and refunds across both Commercial and Government lines, including offshore balancing review and variance follow-up.

You will prepare journal entries and reconciliations, research complex questions, and support audits for MAR, EY, and internal teams, while collaborating with actuarial on reinsurance entries and period adjustments for large multi-billion-dollar claims.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or business degree with accounting experience, or 6 years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret financial and membership reports.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; basic MS SQL queries.

Responsabilités

• Balance EFT/claims/checks/refunds for Commercial and Government lines; review daily offshore balancing processes.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations; monitor variances and resolve issues.
• Research and troubleshoot complex questions or unusual cases; communicate findings clearly.
• Support internal/external audits (MAR, EY) and respond to inquiries; assist with ad hoc projects.
• Collaborate with actuarial on reinsurance entries and period adjustments; handle multi-billion-dollar entries.
