Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Commercial real estate accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience preparing financial statements and managing GL activity.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Yardi experience desirable (property mgmt software).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial activities for a portfolio of commercial real estate joint venture properties.
• Analyze monthly property-level income statements and balance sheets; identify financial drivers.
• Reconcile general ledgers to sub-ledgers and schedules; ensure timely reporting.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with JV reporting deliverables.
• Partner with Asset Services to review operating budgets and leasing activity; respond to inquiries.
• Prepare quarterly/annual debt compliance packages and financial statements.
• Support external audits and SEC reporting as needed; stay current with GAAP pronouncements.
