Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead tax and audit projects with a focus on prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance and renewable energy tax credit engagements.

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, strengthening client relationships, and delivering high-quality analyses under limited supervision. CPA readiness or pursuit is encouraged, with opportunities to grow within a national firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree is a plus).
• 2–3 years of experience in public accounting.
• Ability to sit for the CPA exam or have passed sections is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax and/or audit projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct engagement reviews and manage projects with senior staff input.
• Mentor and supervise Staff Accountants; strengthen client relationships.
• Research Department of Labor and IRS guidance related to PWA and tax credits.
• Support PWA compliance and renewable energy tax credit engagements.
